4Team Fax4Office is an utility for sending and receiving faxes on your PC. The application integrates with Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Office to allow you to easily send faxes from your PC.
As far as I understand this, you can send faxes in two different ways. You can follow a wizard that creates the fax for you. It asks you to add a recipient and his/her information and then it takes you through the creation of your front page (if you want to). The faxes can be sent via the phone line, if your computer is equipped with a modem, or you can send the faxes as e-mails. Additionally, the company offers a service that gives you a fax number online, and you can send faxes to anyone from the Internet. The wizard is not very self-explanatory and you will be faced with a few error messages. But once you get it right, it is easy understand the application.
The other way to send faxes is via the application's integration with your computer's applications. In other words, for example, if you are working on a Microsoft Word document and want to fax it, you don't have to print it and then put it in your fax. You can simply call Fax4Office from within Word and the document will be sent to the recipient that you choose.
4Team Fax4Office also allows you to receive a fax on your computer and there are good automatic features for receiving faxes when you are not around.
So, if you MUST still use this obsolete facsimile technology, Fax4Office integrates it with your computer so you don't have to use an additional device. |
